Includes volumes 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the YBCR DVDs, 4 sets of the sliding double-sided word & picture cards, and 4 lift-the-flap books. BONUS: includes the Parent Guide and Dr. Titzer's Early Learning Workshop DVD. The YBCR program is designed to teach reading in a way that is similar to how infants learn other language skills. The babies start off memorizing what words look like, what they sound like, and what the mean. This is similar to how babies learn to understand and say words -- they start off memorizing what the words sound like and what they mean. Toddlers naturally figure out grammar by figuring out the patterns of the spoken language without being told the rules of grammar. It is possible for babies and toddlers to figure out the patterns of the written language after learning to read many individual words. Note: The 5th YBCR DVD puts the words in a "phonetic order" to highlight phoneme awareness and phonics. This kit contains the first 4 DVDs, books, and sets of word cards. Parents may purchase the 5th DVD individually for $12.95 or as part of an upgrade kit that includes the 5th book and 5th set of sliding cards plus the YCCR DVDs. Ages 3 months to 5 years.Learn More | Add to Wishlist | Add to Compare

Introduces a few new words and reviews words from the program in a "phonetic order" to highlight phoneme awareness and phonics. Aleka Titzer does the opening "hi" segments. While the videos are 10 to 15 years old, babies and toddlers today still love their simplicity. Most of the video segments are different from the newer DVDs making this a good choice for parents who are replacing a DVD. Ages 3 months to 5 years.Learn More | Add to Wishlist | Add to Compare
Includes Volumes 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Your Baby Can Read on two discs. The video images are from the Original YBCR DVDs. For babies learning English and Vietnamese, you could alternate between watching in English and Vietnamese. Some parents may want to introduce their babies to Vietnamese. It is a tonal language where pitch is very important. Additionally, it is a nearly perfect phonetic language since the Latin characters were added to an existing spoken languages. It should be easier to figure out phonics in Vietnamese because of the phonetic consistency of the written language. Parents who just want to expose their babies or young children to other languages early in life may want to show YBCR in Vietnamese once or twice a week in addition to showing YBCR in English and other languages. Ages 3 months to 5 years (although older children learning a second language would also benefit)Learn More | Add to Wishlist | Add to Compare
