Baby Learns to Read — It may seem impossible, but children can begin learning how to read at the young age of just 6 months old. Megan Gilliland meets a little girl from Silver Spring who got a head start and talks to the man behind the program that her parents used to teach her.
Part of our mission at the Infant Learning Company is to change the way societies think about early literacy and early learning and we can do this with your help! We invite you to join us in this effort by sharing your success story with media, so other families can learn that it is possible to teach babies to read at the same time they learn to talk.
A new study was just released using Your Baby Can Read! (YBCR). The lead author of the study primarily tested the babies on pre-reading measures and other material not covered in the program. She stated that babies can’t read. Parents in her own study disagreed with her and stated that their babies were reading and learning vocabulary skills. Why did the parents and the researcher disagree?
